Quick summary: We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery. Products must be unused, in original packaging, and accompanied by all accessories. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

1. Overview

At TanishElectronics, we stand behind every product we sell. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we'll make it right — through a return, refund, or exchange — as described in this policy.

This policy applies to all purchases made on TanishElectronics.in. For products purchased from third-party marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart), please follow the return process of the respective platform.

2. Return Eligibility

A return request is eligible when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The return is initiated within 7 days of the delivery date
  • The product is unused, unaltered, and in its original condition
  • All original packaging, accessories, manuals, warranty cards, and invoice are included
  • The product has not been physically damaged, tampered with, or shows signs of misuse
  • The product seal or protective film has not been broken (for hygiene-sensitive items)

3. How to Initiate a Return

Log In & Go to My Orders

Sign in to your TanishElectronics account and navigate to My Orders. Find the relevant order and click "Request Return".

Select the Item & Reason

Choose the product(s) you wish to return and select the most accurate reason from the dropdown. You may also attach photos if the item is damaged or defective.

Receive Confirmation

Our team will review your request within 24–48 hours and confirm via email with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.

Pack & Handover

Securely pack the item in its original box with all contents. Write the RMA number on the outer package. Our logistics partner will schedule a pickup.

Refund / Exchange Processed

Once we receive and verify the returned item, we'll process your refund or ship the replacement within 5–7 business days.

4. Pickup & Shipping

For eligible returns, TanishElectronics provides free doorstep pickup anywhere in India. Our courier partner will contact you to schedule a convenient time slot.

If pickup is not available at your pin code, you may self-ship the product to our warehouse. In this case:

  • Use a reliable courier with tracking (we recommend Delhivery or Bluedart)
  • We'll reimburse shipping charges up to ₹100 for valid returns upon submission of the courier receipt
  • Items lost in transit during self-shipment are the sender's responsibility
Important: Never ship an item back without a confirmed RMA number from our team. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted and will be returned to sender.

5. Refunds

Once the returned product is received at our facility and passes quality inspection, we will process your refund as follows:

Inspection Complete (Day 1–2)

Our quality team inspects the returned product and confirms eligibility.

Refund Initiated (Day 2–3)

We initiate the refund to your original payment method. You'll receive an email confirmation.

Refund Credited (Day 5–7)

Funds appear in your account depending on your bank's processing time. UPI refunds are typically faster (1–3 days); credit/debit card refunds may take up to 7 business days.

Refund methods:

  • Online payments (UPI, Net Banking, Cards): refunded to the original payment source
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) orders: refunded via NEFT bank transfer — you'll need to provide your bank account details
  • Store credit / TanishElectronics Wallet: available as an option for faster processing

Shipping charges paid at the time of order are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong product, defective item).

6. Exchange

Prefer an exchange instead of a refund? We're happy to exchange your product for:

  • The same product in a different colour or variant
  • A different product of equal or higher value (you pay the difference)

Exchange requests follow the same eligibility conditions and 7-day window as returns. Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the desired variant is out of stock, we'll process a full refund instead.

7. Non-Returnable Items

The following products are not eligible for returns:

  • Products with broken seals (electric toothbrush heads, earphone tips, hygiene accessories)
  • Products that have been used, installed, or personalised / engraved
  • Digital products, gift cards, and promotional items
  • Items explicitly marked "Non-Returnable" on the product listing
  • Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, accidents, or liquid exposure
  • Returns initiated after 7 days of delivery without prior approval

8. Damaged or Defective Orders

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please follow these steps immediately:

  • Do not use the product — using a damaged item may void your claim
  • Take unboxing photos or video clearly showing the damage
  • Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery via email or WhatsApp
  • We will arrange an urgent pickup and replacement at no cost to you
Tip: We strongly recommend filming your unboxing — it makes damaged/defective claims much faster to process for everyone.
